Our 2# density pour foam provides superior flotation and expansion to fill vessel hulls. This 2# density pour foam is closed cell, which means it resists water absorption. Our 2# pour foam is approvable by the US Coast Guard regulation 33 CFR 183.114.
Q. How much does one quart of mixed 2# pour foam fill?
Our 2# pour foam ½ gallon kit will fill about a 2 cubic foot at 72F.
Q. How do I fill the vessel’s hull?
Mix parts A and B in clean plastic containers for 20-30 seconds. Then pour the mixed foam into the deepest part of the dry cavity.
Q. What should I do when filling a hull if the floorboard is not glassed in?
Wrap a poly trash bag around the floorboard and place it on top of the stringers. The foam will expand upwards, hit the floorboard and fill the remainder of the cavity.
Q. Can I use pour foam to fill an inflatable or canvas?
No! Our pour foam does not work with inflatables or canvas. It will make a big, sticky mess.
