From epoxy pumps to epoxy fillers, from epoxy compatible fiberglass cloth to epoxy mold releases, AeroMarine is your one-stop-shop for all things epoxy.
Epoxy fillers can be used for a variety of reasons. For example, epoxy fillers can be used with epoxy for marine construction to create a constructional component. Or, if you’re laying fiberglass, fumed silica and glass microspheres can be used to create fillets that create a radius curve where caulk can lay. Epoxy fillers, such as our 1/32” milled fibers and phenolic microspheres can be used for easier sanding, while our talc can make your epoxy solution thicker in applications above the waterline.
Lastly, pecan shell flour can be used in epoxy when repairing windows in antique homes and other wood surfaces to create a durable and strong surface. Pecan shell flour is often added to epoxy to repair termite damage and wood rot as well. When using pecan shell flour, it will turn clear epoxy resin a dark brown color to match the wood. You can use fine sawdust from sanding and other fillers to lighten the epoxy solution to better match the color of your wooden surface.
In addition to epoxy fillers, AeroMarine Products also carries a selection of accessories for your epoxy application.

Epoxy fillers are used to modify the properties of epoxy and can be mixed into the epoxy resin side prior to adding the epoxy hardener. Fillers can modify the viscosity, sag resistance, and ease the fairing and flow. Epoxy fillers can also add strength, flexibility, and sandability. Below are our different types of epoxy fillers and their best application:
AeroMarine Fumed Silica Filler: Modifies the sag resistance of your epoxy. This is the best thickening agent.
AeroMarine Talc Filler: Modifies the thickness of your epoxy. DO NOT USE BELOW THE WATERLINE!
AeroMarine 1/32” Milled Fiber Filler: Adds strength to your epoxy. Easy to sand.
AeroMarine Pecan Shell Flour Filler: Can be used for wood restoration
AeroMarine Glass Microspheres Filler: Can be used for sanding and fairing. Adds buoyancy to resins. White in color.
AeroMarine Phenolic Microsphere Filler: Can be used for sanding and fairing. Brown in color.
AeroMarine Anti-Skid Filler: Can be used to create a non-slip surface when mixed with epoxy
To use epoxy fillers, follow these steps:
AeroMarine Anti-Skid Filler can be mixed with epoxy or broadcast on top to create a non-skid surface. The mix ratio varies depending on your needs. A heavy anti-skid coating for a boat requires a mix of 10 parts resin to 1 part anti-skid powder. A light coating such as on a wood floor or pebble paving for added slip resistance would be a mix ratio of 100 parts resin to 1 part anti-skid powder.
AeroMarine Graphite Powder can aid abrasion resistance on the hull to make small boats go over rocks better. You can also use it to coat parts that need to slide against each other like centerboards and rudders. Graphite powder can be added to mixed resin/hardener at the rate of 10% by volume or 1.5 tablespoons per 8 oz. of epoxy. Use on the last two coats for the bottom and renew when needed.
AeroMarine Epoxy Colorants come in 8 ounce containers and can be mixed with the epoxy resin when needed before adding the epoxy hardener. We sell epoxy colorants in black, white, and gray. An 8 ounce container can fully color a gallon of epoxy resin.
We sell a 6 ounce plain weave cloth that is perfect for most fiberglassing projects. We find that using multiple layers of a light weight cloth leaves you with a stronger construction than using one layer of a heavier material. Laying the fiberglass at different angles from one layer to the next also increases the strength. We sell the fiberglass cloth by the linear yard by 50” width so each yard yields 12 square feet. Our 6 ounce fiberglass tape comes in 2”, 4”, and 12” widths. The fiberglass tape is sold in 50 yard rolls. Fiberglass tape works very well when used for filleting seams, strengthening edges, and sistering new stringers in place.
